New Year, Same Ol Fabulous Us

Hey lovelies!

Welcome back to another Blogpost Thursday and more importantly, the start of what we hope is another fabulous freaking year! 2017 was so exciting for us as we launched new collections, opened new store fronts, dived into new ventures and took all the ups and downs life threw at us with open hands (and whilst being immaculately dressed, obviously). This year, we want to use that same determination, resilience and of course, self love to help us achieve more and aim higher. Who's with us?

To start the year off, we've got the gorgeous Mel Woods who as always, can be found rocking some seriously bomb ass looks. This time, she's in our Being Gorgeous Ramping Pants and true to the name, she makes being gorgeous an effortless pursuit. Scroll down to see how she's styled one of our all-time favorite style essentials and tell us what you think in the comments below or via email. We always want to hear from you!

Quintessentially Mel: Pairing the Being Gorgeous Ramping Pants with a graphic tee therefore contrasting the sophistication of the embellishments on the pants with the simplicity of the t-shirt. An outfit that can be dressed-up, dressed down and dressed to make you chic, casual, cosy and comfortable. We can't get enough!

Unlike the photo above, Mel's second outfit (which we might add is an all-Nyata affair) chooses to keep embellishment as the gist of the story. Sporting embellishments on both the pants and the top, Mel chooses to be subtle in the way she colour blocks the outfit but is unapologetic about being sparkly because as the old adage goes - one can never be too sparkly! We think colour blocking is an absolute must for summer (or quite frankly whenever you feel like it) and if anyone knows how to colour block the s***t out of an outfit, Mel sure does!

For her third look, Mel pairs the Being Gorgeous Ramping Pants with a low-cut monochrome blouse. She takes advantage of the singular characteristics of the pants, such as the colour and the style and pairs it with a blouse that has more versatility to offer. In doing so, she creates an outfit that can transition from a day time look to a night time look as well as one you can dress up and dress down. We particularly love the contrast in the way both items fit Mel - the blouse being a little tighter than the pants allows for her silhouette to stand out and shine in the limelight of what a gorgeously understated outfit.
So there you have it ladies; Mel at it again in our Being Gorgeous Ramping Pants! To shop the look simply jump online! We want to see you experiment and have fun with our clothes too so make sure you send us pictures of how you get on with styling the pants (or any other Nyata threads you may own) and don't forget to keep up with Mel on social media (@curvycartel on instagram).

Until next time,

Stay fabulous loves!

Summertime Fine: Nyata Does December

Hey babes!

Welcome back to another Blogpost Thursday. This week we're giving you a much needed dose of summertime glam-ness. Whilst our country cousins north of the equator are cosying up in sweaters and boots, we're enjoying our holiday cheer with a side of open-toe sandals and pimms by the pool. No complaints there!

Looking finer than a dime in our summertime, this week we're serving up some unadulterated fierce femininity from our girls Mel (@curvycartel) and Katrina (@sista_w_style). Make sure to follow them on Instagram to keep up to date with their fashion adventures and exposés.

Starting with Mel. This month, our rule breaker of fashionable proportions has taken her love for colour blocking and print on print and translated it into a trans-seaonal look. Mixing summer and winter in an outfit that screams "no one else can pull this off except Mel Woods," Mel pairs her Wanita Lady in Blue with a pair of thigh high black boots - as you do!

In her second look, Mel pairs the Wanita Lady dress with a beautiful yet unconventionally coloured and paterned skirt and pant - both of which are a testiment to Mel's MO of thinking outside of the box and making it look easy (and chic) whilst she does it.

We can't get enough - can you blame us?! To shop Mel's look, browse through our collections and let us know how you're styling your Nyata threads. As you can see - the more creative, the better!

Next up is our Sista With Style, Miss Katrina. Like Mel, Katrina loves a little breaking-the-mold action and we love her for it. In this month's addition, she's showing us how you can pair unconventional wardrobe staples together to form an outfit that will help you stand out in style. Pictured below in her Wanita Lady dress and Cinta skirt, Katrina pays homage to the belief that a little goes a long way. And we couldn't agree more.

For her second look, Katrina takes a classic spin on one of our crowd favorites, the Indah Love dress in black. Pairing it with black accessories to create a somber, all black ensemble, the look is versatile, chic and most importantly; wearable.

Whilst a summer wardrobe is often casual and laidback, Katrina shows us that there is no wrong way to dress it up and flaunt what you got. Whether it's pairing a semi-formal dress with leather leggings and a pair of heels, or wearing a casual thinly-rimmed skirt with a statement necklace, there's no reason to stick to jeans and tee just because the rules of a summertime wardrobe dictates it as such!

We love that our Nyata ambassadors have fun with their looks and we hope that they inspire you to do the same. At the end of the day we make clothes that we think look beautiful, but are only ever truly beautiful when worn by a woman who enjoys being seen, being heard and being a part of a truly colorful, vibrant narrative. So this December as the weather gets hotter and the drinks get colder, wear your summer wardrobe in a way that rebels against the rules of colour, print and season. Have fun with it and just. be. you.

Lots of love until next time!

Nyata takes November

Hey lovelies!

Welcome to not only another Blogpost Thursday but also the beginning of what we hope will be a long and lustrous summer for us babes down under! This month, we have channelled all our love for the summer through bright colours and bold prints. It seems only fair considering we go half the year counting down to when it's social acceptable to trade in our boots for Birkenstocks. Well ladies, the time is here. It's only getting hotter and quite frankly, so are we!

This month, resident badass and all round fashion connoisseur Mel (@curvycartel) showed us that a little colour goes a long way. Wearing one of our favorite wardrobe staples, the Bergeser Sway dress, Mel opts for simplicity in her accessories and add-ons to maintain focus on the dress without deviating from the whole look.

Mel is no stranger to breaking conventional rules of fashion. As seen above, our girl knows a thing or two about rocking bright colours AND bright prints. And boy, does she do it well! Mel effortlessly dictates her own summer vibe with the use of a tie-up cami and the Bergeser Sway dress - as far as we're concerned, she can do no wrong!

One might say the general rule of thumb when referring to your summer wardrobe is "less is more," whilst we don't disagree, as can be seen on Mel, less does not necessarily mean minimalist. The summer is about being fun and flirty and letting your hair down, so don't let the (albeit super cute) world of pastels and minimalism stop you from experimenting with bold stripes and colours.

As seen above, Mel takes her love for crossing colour and print a step further by pairing the Bergeser Sway dress with the Ramping Triangle Pants. We have to say this might be one of our all time favorite ways to wear the Bergeser Sway! It's simple and it's chic but it's also far from subtle.

At Nyata, we want you to be seen. No matter the time of day or the time of year, we believe you ought to wear your colours and stripes as proudly and confidently as you can. Mel shows us a number of ways you can do so without compromising on the rules of summer simplicity and we can't get enough!

Make sure to try out your own variations of these outfits and let us know either in the comments or via our social media streams how you've made them work.

Until next time,

All Things October!

Hey babes,

Welcome back to another Blogpost Thursday! At the outset, we want to say a HUGE thank you to those of you who checked out and liked last month's September Faves - we hope you like this month's style-inspired blog just as much.

October is finally here and as things are warming up, so are we. This month, our gorgeous Nyata girls have been whipping out the bright oranges, sparkly pinks and embellished excellence in the name of SPRING! Take a look at how they've been styling some of this season's favorite trends.

Starting off with Mel (@curvycartel), who is a serious fashion rule breaker. Seen below in our Ungu Spark dress, she knows a thing or two about dressing up a spring wardrobe. Mel effortlessly compliments the gold embellishment that runs along the dress with gold skirts (pictured below), and simultaneously breaks all rules of symmetry, colour clashing and print on print. The Ungu Spark dress exudes versatility through the simplicity of it's make up but Mel does an amazing job at displaying just what you can do with a one-toned dress, a little sparkle and a whole lot of fierceness.

Next up, on the other side of the equator where things are cooling down, Miss Liz (@lizphoto) is making the most of cool toned blues and symmetrically aligned sparkles. Featured here in our Raw Bling Skirt, Liz portrays the dynamic nature of a brightly coloured skirt when paired with a heavy-toned blouse. Accompanied by minimal make up and jewellery, Liz makes a simple ensemble look as contemporary and chic, just as it should.

Finally, our girl Sam (@curvysam) went all out this month in one of our all time favorites, the Bergeser Sway dress. Pairing the simple, symmetrical little number with feisty thigh high boots and a statement necklace, Sam is serving up all kinds of Charlie's Angels - meets Sasha Fierce summer time vibes. The flexibility of the fabric combined with the length and stretch of the Bergeser Sway make for an effortless ensemble and perfect for a night out on the town (especially if you're looking to turn heads like we're sure Sam did!). See her look below.

And that's a wrap on October ladies! We hope you've got a few ideas from these lovely lades on how to wear your bright pinks and sparkles this month. Whether it's cooling down or heating up wherever you are, remember to bring the heat wherever you go!

Love,

Team Nyata xx

September Faves

Hey beauties!

Welcome back to another Blogpost Thursday. This month we're bringing you some of our all-time favorites through the lens of our gorgeous new ambassadors, Liz and Sam. Liz and Sam, (along with Khrystyana, Liv and Mel whom you will meet in our next Blogpost Thursday) are the perfect reflection of the Nyata woman; strong, bold and poised. We are so excited to have them on board as part of the family!

So without further ado;

This September, our Palm Springs native, Miss Elizabeth Estrada has been making the most of bright colors and simple embellishments. Pictured here in our Cantik Top, the blonde bombshell contrasts the vibrancy of the outfit with minimal accessories and light make up. We can't get enough!

In slight contrast to Liz's sunny escapades, our resident Melbournian, Sam has been taking on the last of winter in the chic-est way possible! As can be seen below, Sam is a fan of colour blocking and won't shy away from a little glitter. Pictured in our Bohemian Tulip Skirt and later in our Shiny Semarak Top, we can't think of a better example of all things fierce, feisty and feminine.

Follow the girls on social media (@lizphoto and @curvysam) for more on their fashion escapades and stay tuned to next month's blogpost Thursday to meet the rest of our Nyata family.

Wintertime Sadness? Not really.

Hey beauty queens!

Hope your July is off to a start that's as brilliant and beautiful as you. We're super excited about all that's going on at Nyata HQ and as always, we want you to know you're at the center of it all.

This month, we've placed a special focus on bold prints, bright colours and all-round badassery (although that one we'll admit to focusing on every month). There seems to be a misconception that winter is reserved for shades of grey, block prints and any other stylistic choices made to drown us in our own sorrows over not being at the beach with a margarita in one hand and a vodka-soda in the other.

Somehow, that doesn't work very well for us. And we're not the only ones.

This month, we're focusing on bringing a little life back into our wardrobes and we absolutely love watching you ladies do the same. Take a look at how some of our Nyata Queen have been rocking their threads this season.

The gorgeous Elizabeth Estrada (@LizPhoto on Instagram) couldn't be more summertime fine in our Arrow Minded Dress. The perfect blend of bright/bold and simple/subtle, it's is as much for the faint of heart as it is not. Perfect with a pair of stockings and a trench coat to keep you cosy in the winter!

Another Nyata beauty that we can't get enough of is the amazing Amy (@WillowCurves on Instagram) who knows exactly how to bring the heat! Pictured below in our Antik Love Dress and Bergeser Sway, Amy knows exactly how to be versatile with her wardrobe and look like she's fresh off the runway whilst doing it.

All kinds of colourful - we can't get enough!
Pictured above: Bergeser Sway Dress

Pictured above: Love Antik Dress
Whilst we love bold prints and bright colour schemes all year round, we can't get enough of them in the winter. When everything else is grey and dull, nothing says "I'm Here" quite like a pop of orange or yellow!
So get ready to be seen ladies and head online for a winter wardrobe revamp. Don't forget to snap us photos along the way - we love seeing you in all your Nyata glory.
Until next time,

Team Nyata

3 Ways to Love Yourself Better

I've always wondered... if my self esteem had to do primarily with the way I look, why it is that even when I meet my own perceived standards of beauty, I still seem to lack self esteem.

Here's the harsh truth around it ladies, you could drop 20 pounds, gain 20 pounds, darken your brows, lighten your hair, wear high heels, wear no heels, and if you didn't begin with self-love, none of those things will magically bring it to you. The reality of the matter is that self-esteem does not necessarily have to do with just the way you look! We derive our sense of actualization and validation usually from sources that mean nothing to us, when we should be looking inwards instead.

So here are our top 3 tips - unconventional as they may be - on how to LOVE yourself, inside out. Starting now!
1. Challenge yourself

Whether you set out to master a new move in yoga class, learn a language or decide to get over your biggest fear, challenging yourself to master something — and then doing it — will give you a huge boost in self-confidence.

2. Do something you love

When you're feeling low, it's important to do something you love and feel good doing. So lay on the couch and watch your favorite movie. Cook up a meal for friends. Take a run through your neighborhood. By doing something you're good at and that brings you pleasure, you'll feel more competent, accomplished and capable of handling any task that comes your way.

3. Stop procrastinating

From joining a knitting group to signing up for martial arts classes to taking your first whitewater rafting trip, if there's something you've always wanted to do, but keep finding reasons to put it off, stop procrastinating and get it done. Not only will you feel more confident for making the decision to just do it, you'll also get excited about the new things you'll be learning.
